Kaspersky Internet Security and What It Can Do For You
Kaspersky Lab is an internet security protection software that originated in 1997 in Russia.
Since then, it has steadily grown into its current state where lots of people on all continents use it.
The internet security reviews you’ll find online, are mostly positive and the software performs great on most platforms.
With a Mac version available, along with a mobile security application and all recent Windows version support, the Kaspersky Internet Security software is an option that is well worth your while.
The suite features all the common capabilities you need in a good antivirus protection software:
- antivirus
- firewall
- anti-spyware and anti-malware
- parental controls
- internet and identity protection
Kaspersky Internet Security has a lot of features that target specific websites, including home banking sites, in order to keep you safe while making transactions and using your bank account while online.
Identity protection features include the virtual keyboard which is a great addition – it allows you to type in passwords and credit card numbers without the risk of a keylogger stealing the information you’ve typed.
In Kaspersky Internet Security, among the most prominent features is the real-time antivirus scanning function and the ZetaShield technology. ZetaShield is a part of the suite which protects your computer from unknown potential threats.
Whenever a virus, malware or spyware is released, most internet security software get a definition update which ‘teaches’ them to detect and remove the threat. But there are a lot of unknowns in the online world when it comes to security threats – the ZetaShield aims to protect you from those too. And speaking of updates – we’ve rarely seen zero-day protection such as that provided by the Kaspersky Internet Security suite.
Last, but not least, there’s the two-way firewall and the advance parental controls. The firewall will actively block any suspicious programs from accessing the web and downloading potentially dangerous files.
The parental controls are very well-implemented and you can control just about anything you want to when it comes to supervising your child’s online activity. Comprehensive reports are generated that contain what your kid visited online, how much time was spent on different online resources and the messages exchanged.
You can block websites from certain countries as well if you feel like they would pose a threat to your online security.
Kaspersky Internet Security Review Summary
Today, there’s little that should be left to chance when it comes to online security. And Kaspersky knows this better than most of its competitors. So it’s definitely a worthwhile investment for your protection.
Make sure that other antivirus protection software is properly uninstalled before installing Kaspersky Internet Security – it’s a known fact that two or more other software options beside Kaspersky can cause more harm than good in certain circumstances.
All in all, the Kaspersky Internet Security suite is a great addition to the online protection front, bringing the assurance that in this new-age cyber threats war, the good guys are winning.

It simply works
Kaspersky is the most seamless, thought-free antivirus I’ve ever used. You load it, and you’re done. Other than the renewal every year or two, that’s it. There’s no constant updating, no giant lag after powering up as a new scan is done. None of that stuff you get from the others. The cloud based platform simply works — in the background.
Good and reliable buttt
I know that when the product was working correctly (prior to my expiration notice), everything was fine. 3 stars is the average of 5 for a perfect product and 1 for potentially being charged for vaporware.
Absolutely fantastic and quick! Better than Spy sweeper
I have this installed on 2 pc at home and its the Best antivirus i’ve ever seen. Fast loading and scanning speed no matter what system specs are.
A great product!!!
This is a great product and was easy to install. While installing, the On-Line chat was particularly helpful to ask questions and showing us exactly what we needed to do. Kasperky found 4 virus as soon as we installed it which was preventing my computer from working. I will recommend Kaspersky to family and friends. A great product!!!
Former McAfee user - love Kaspersky Internet Security, HUGE difference
Formerly used McAfee, but found it dreadful for performance. Changed to Kaspersky just over 3 years ago and very happy since! Though only needed once, support was timely and spot on. Excellent virus removal
Got a company license, then went personal cuz it works!
Awesome software. The company I work for (a trucking company) uses it so I have it on my personal computer. I have never been hacked. It’s great at stopping spyware and malware as well as viruses. When I left, I wound up getting a personal license, ended up getting infected, but Kaspersky fixed it auto-pilot! Hats off!
Don't like the password manager but love the security
Product is effective, but sometimes difficult to use. For example, blocking a specific URL is a challenge. Customer service is fast, including phone support, and email exchange of troubleshooting steps. If asked to send a file, their review is quick and helpful to take the next step. Cons: Sucks CPU on Login until database is updated and scan is completed (I choose to scan daily). Password manager is inferior, LastPass is superior.
Fuck Norton and AVG
Wound up with viruses with Norton and especially with AVG. Have used Kaspersky for 3 years now and never a problem. They are really good and check everything. Renewing after this review!
They fixed me, I'll give them that! A solid product
I have used other antivirus software and Kaspersky does the best job and lets me know about updates. But I had a problem and it took longer that I would like to have them take, but, in the end, they solved the problem. Just wish it was a bit cheaper
Using for 2 years+
Have been using Kaspersky Internet Security for about 2 years now. so far so good. Was using shitty McAfee for a few years, Geek Squad changed me over saying Kaspersky was a more safe for online security software.
Multi-computer order is the way to go!
Really solid software package, negligible performance impact and scans are relatively quick.
