There are quite a few antivirus programs that claim to have 50 different features along with their antivirus program, and while yes Webroot has some additional features, they don’t boast about them because there are few.
Webroot stays focused on their main product which consists of providing a security suite that will protect computer users from viruses, malware, and spyware. That’s it.
Reviews across the internet have deemed Webroot SecureAnywhere antivirus one of the fastest antivirus software , maybe it’s because it isn’t bloated?

Scan speeds are quicker than you’ve ever seen from an antivirus program. Norton on average takes roughly 5 minutes to completely scan a new out of the box computer and 10 minutes for one that’s been used for a while.
Webroot’s SecureAnywhere Antivirus on the other hand can do either in under 2 minutes.
The algorithm used for their software is simply revolutionary. When you do your initial start-up scan Webroot will scan and identify known to be safe programs and then exclude them from future scans, this will prevent long scans as your computer is progressively used.
The user interface is intuitive and friendly, users shouldn’t have a problem navigating the software. The software utilizes some Windows features to give the end-user a very fluid experience that flows well.
Any task that needs to be performed can easily be located from the software’s main menu. Scheduling scans is a plus with Webroot’s SecureAnywhere Antivirus but when you’ve got such fast scan speeds there’s little to no reason to use the scheduling feature.

If your privacy means something to you give up on getting a free antivirus and get yourself something like Webroot SecureAnywhere Antivirus, or something with comparable protection.
Among the several different antivirus software suites, they’ve got a pretty firm grip on their product and customer service is excellent if you have any problems.

Very Close To Perfect
Love the minimal impact on system performance! Only aspect that keeps the product from being rated 5 stars is the firewall which is only half a firewall. It depends on Windows firewall for half its firewall performance. I wish it contained a fully functional firewall.
Best Anti Virus Software I Have Found
I have tried several other products not worth mentioning. Since I have started using Webroot, I have enjoyed total protection and ease of use. It does what it says it will do. Anyone can set it up and be protected instantly. I highly recommend all their products. I will use nothing else.
The Best cloud-based program for anti-virus protection!
Excellent program, runs in the background. Renewed my 3rd year of Webroot protection, no problems, it just does it’s job and keeps me and my computer safe. Webroot is light and lets my computer move at the speeds it is designed to move at. The other antiviruses (Norton, Kaspersky) slowed down my computer and web browsers too much. I think it’s great protection at a good price.
Easy and Fast
The installation process was fast and easy for all my devices. My primary reason for choosing Webroot was how little of my computer’s resources it uses, and in this field, it’s been more than satisfactory. Perhaps most importantly, I don’t seem to have any viruses/malware/etc. yet!
I always feel safe with Webroot on my computer
Because my bank and my job have provided Webroot security I felt safe having this product on my personal laptop. When my computer had to be taken back to factory basics and I felt my bank’s free antivirus may have been wiped out, I felt Webroot was the only way to protect my computer. I feel confident my time on the computer is safe.
Very good, small footprint
been using Webroot a little over a month. It seems to do the job and does so unobtrusively. I like that it does not take up resources on my computer. It runs scans automatically and fairly frequently. The messages are clear. Installation is a breeze. I’m quite happy so far.

Incredible Product. TERRIBLE customer service
Wanted to add 5 licenses to my enterprise account. Website wasn’t functional to permit that. Customer support said only one guy in their organization could do it. He never answers. Doesn’t return calls. I’d give 5 stars if they had better customer service. Just be warned.

Webroot is the best antivirus I’ve had so far. Just bought a license for three more years. Lightweight, easy to use and low-profile.

bought it once again this year. Fifth year now (or sixth?). It caught a nefarious file two months ago. I will definitely buy this product again next year.
Webroot is a horrible product that does not work.
The System Analysis tool reports low memory and leaks which are incorrect. Contacting Technical support is a joke, they collect logs, have you un-install and re-install, blame the OS for reporting incorrect information and then want more logs and never actually solve anything. Nortons or Mcafee are both much better products.

So, Don, all these other customers are mistaken? You’re complaining about the System Analyzer tool that is free from Webroot. If you don’t like it, get a different free system analyzer somewhere else. And if you’re into system analysis, compare the footprint and CPU usage of the other AV products against Webroot, which according to independent testing has the lowest impact on your computer of all products tested. But the most important aspect of Webroot is its cloud-based detection of new malware and fileless attacks. You sound like someone who was hired to smear Webroot.
This product is one of the best on the market.
I am an IT specialist, and use this with many computers. I’ve tried Norton, McAfee as well as others. Webroot is a *very light program not using a lot of resources, while being very effective. 5 stars!

As others here have reported. No antivirus is perfect but Webroot is about as close to perfect as your gonna get!

I opened a request to “fix” several attempts to access my password; MISTAKE. I watched, horrified, as my apps and firewall were deleted; Webroot agent Alex entered my screen because my Webroot security “flagged” this as “suspicious activity”. To summarize a long frustrating day that followed this agent used his incredible patience with me to repair the damage done by intrusion. PLUS he installed a very thorough security system leaving me with visual instruction on its purpose and use. I am so thankful I had Webroot, this “guard” on my computer and agent Alex ** who worked tirelessly with me. Awesome. Grateful.
Can’t live without it

Never looked back!
I was a big Kaspersky fan until it let a ransomware trojan cause my PC to freeze about 5 years ago – asking for a payment to unfreeze it. I wiped my HDD and reinstalled Win10 to get rid of the damn thing.
Been using Webroot ever since – small footprint – excellent protection – spots trojans and stops them before any damage is done.
